2019 Price Example: £192.17 per adult per night based on 2-night/3-day package during Super Value season. Includes hotel accommodation and Disney Park tickets.
There is only one word to describe this hotel, stunning. As you walk around Lake Disney it is hard to not be blown away with the sheer scale of this hotel. It has been recently renovated and the blue roof really sets it apart from other hotels. Luxury is the order of the day at the Newport Bay Club. The attention to detail is something that Disney excels in and as you step through the doors you are transported to New England.
Guests love the sheer charm of this turn of the century mansion. It is brimming with maritime memorabilia, which adds to the romance of this Hotel. It is only a 10 – 15 minute walk from the Parks, with the Disney Village a stone’s throw away.
This resort is all about luxury and it has many amenities to make your stay magical. Guests who are looking for a high end experience will not be disappointed by the delights available in this hotel.
There are several different room types available, including Club level and suites. When booking a trip it is important to consider which room will best suit your family. The standard room is the cheapest but it is worth considering paying to upgrade to add some Disney magic to your holiday.
Superior Room – These rooms consist of 2 double beds and typically sleep 4 people. Rooms are a good size with theming based on the Disney Cruise Line Ships. The rooms have a high end finish with a luxurious feel. This is an expansive resort, so the walk to your room may be surprising as some of the corridors seem endless in size. However, a very comfy bed awaits you after this weary journey!
Superior rooms all feature
- Free high chair and baby cot ( upon request at the hotel)
- Disney and International TV Channels
- Hair dryer
- Ceiling Fan
- Free Wifi access
- Safety deposit box
Superior Family Room – If you need more space for your family these rooms also contain a sofa bed on top of 2 double beds. This extra space could come in handy if you are travelling as a large group or for families of 5 or 6 guests.
Superior Room – Lakeside – If you book these rooms, you will only be guaranteed a view of Lake Disney which could be at any angle. This does not guarantee a view of the parks, especially if you are based in the left wing. The top floors are reserved for Golden Forest Club so views of the parks are unlikely. The lake view itself is beautiful but it is important to consider how important this is to you before opting for this upgrade.
Compass Club Rooms and Suites (Lakeside Optional) – These rooms are the same as the standard rooms but come with a mini fridge and, more importantly, Compass Club Level benefits.
When you check in this process is made easier via a private check in desk with seating. This is a large hotel, so this can be a real perk at peak times. You also receive a FastPass for each day of your visit, allowing you to skip the long lines on popular attractions which again can save a great deal of time during busy park days.
Compass club guests can enter the Club lounge after 10am each day. This is a private area in which you can get complimentary soft drinks and hot drinks. In the morning, they serve a hot buffet breakfast which you can go to without any reservations. Then in the afternoon, they serve snacks and treats which makes a perfect break from the parks.
This is a premium experience with a premium price but is certainly worth it if you can afford this level of luxury.
Hotel Suites – Newport Bay offers various suites. These rooms are a real step up from the superior rooms often a range of extra amenities such as a sofa and dining table in the room. These come will all of the benefits of the Compass Club but you receive a Hotel FastPass. This will allow you to use the FastPass queue on any ride, as often as you like, whenever you like. This is a real luxury and this is certainly reflected in the high price of staying in a suite.
As a top level hotel, this hotel offers 2 restaurants, one table service and one buffet restaurant. They are based across the corridor from each other on the ground floor of the hotel. Cape Cod is a buffet restaurant which serves breakfast and dinner every day. The Yacht Club is a table service restaurant with a seafood theme.
The morning breakfast is a mixture of hot food and continental breakfast offerings. It is an all you can eat buffet that needs to be reserved when you book your room. The food is good but the price is steep for what you will receive and reflects the quantity of food you could consume. The food is of very good quality and the service is always excellent. Due to demand, you need to book a time and early slots are hard to come by as many guests like to eat and get to the parks before opening time.
The evening options are an all you can eat dinner buffet at Cape Cod or table service at the Yacht Club. Both are Plus options on the Disney Dining Meal and offer good value for money. Having a choice of dining is great for guests as it suits all tastes. If you enjoy a 3 course meal, an evening in the Yacht Club will offer a premium experience. For those who like to sample and try different types of food, they will be spoilt for choice at the Cape Cod Buffet.
The Captain’s Quarters is a wonderfully themed bar with views overlooking Lake Disney. The service here is excellent making this the perfect place to unwind. The drinks menu is extensive offering a range of fine wines and spirits. You will be tempted by the cakes displayed by the bar which goes nicely with a freshly brewed coffee, best eaten on a table on the outside decking.
Recreation and Swimming Pool:
This is a fabulous pool which adds a different dimension to your stay at Disneyland Paris. A large ship sits alongside the pool giving parents the perfect view point to keep an eye on their kids splashing in the pool below.
There is also an outdoor pool which is heated, making it a pleasant place to relax during most of the year. When the sun is shining this pool becomes very busy so best to stake out your spot on the sun loungers early in the morning.
The addition of a sauna, steam and fitness rooms makes this a truly 4 Star Hotel experience. Your feet will thank you after all those steps around the parks with a dip in the hot tub!
